If the CG is too forward, the boat runs with the bow too deep into the water, which will make it hard to plan and speed up; And if the CG is too far back, it will cause a
high-lifted bow, making the boat run unstably, rolling on the sides and sliding on the turns. To well balance a RC boat is a frustrating procedure to most RC boaters, especially with a fully assembled boat! It is very difficult to achieve a satisfying result without the proper instrument. Arrow Shark is very proud to introduce the CG Balancer-X kit to our worldwide customers, the excellent solution to this long-standing challenge! The CG Balancer-X is heavily constructed with a CNC machined billet base and stainless steel tubing. It will work with almost all types of hulls such as mono, catamaran, tunnel or hydroplane in both gas and electric versions. The space between the two center support strands is fully adjustable to adapt to different hull bottom shapes and widths. Two built-in heavy-duty but sensitive bearings delivers very accurate balance for any assembled RC boat that is placed on it. The procedure is also simple for both new and experienced RC boaters. Simply mark the CG point on the bottom of your hull and match that point to the arrow mark on the supporting strand. Then, start to move the hardware or battery inside the hull forward or backward, adding weight to the hull until the boat is fully or closely balanced on the balance stand. Any mild imbalances will not affect performance too much. It can always be trimmed by adjusting the trim tab or angle of the drive, but the closer to an exact lateral balance you can get, the better the boat will run and the less adjustments you will need to do later on.
