Another brand new model for 2010 from Arrow Shark Hobby is this stunning 50inch (1,270mm) deep vee Negotiator. Gas-powered racing boats have been getting bigger and better to handle the gradually increasing power outputs of the engines. What used to be 40inch raceboats have grown to 44 or 47inches, but Arrow Shark has again streaked ahead with this 50inch (excluding hardware) delta-styled monohull propelled by our lastest mighty 6+hp billet-machined XP254M engine. You'll find all the details of this new engine elsewhere, including its rev potential of 19,000rpm or more! Whilst fully capable of taking on all comers in outright racing, the Negotiator's size (it has a healthy 14.7inch beam too) gives a balanced ride that will ease the path of gas-boating newcomers into our exciting hobby and sport. Just keep your trigger-finger on the throttle relaxed until you have gained some time at the controls and the Negotiator will deliver progressively heightened exhilaration and speeds without you getting off course. Once you've built some awareness of the boat's latent performance, or if you're already an experienced skipper, let that 19,000rpm and 6+hp loose for an awesome ride!
The longer deep vee hull and more powerful engine are only the starting point for the Negotiator as Arrow Shark Hobby has included a wide range of features such as an improved clutch that uses a CNC-machined no-spring plate for higher performance and even better reliability. Also included are a tuned pipe exhaust system, a high-flow water pump operated from crankcase pressure pulses, an adjustable Stinger drive unit, adjustable trim tabs, AS6717/3 SBP high preformance prop, As well, we have upgraded to a CNC-machined metal servo tray in the radio box which is stronger (and looks better!) than our previous wooden tray, and a fibreglass molding holds the fuel tank more securely at the high speeds and during the tight turns that these boats are capable of executing,
With the high level of performance available, we have added extra fibreglass reinforcement for the hull-deck join on the Negotiator, and we are now using the latest technology automotive paints for a smarter finish that is topped by multiple coats of clear gloss. This boat looks as good as it runs - and vice versa!
All high performance boats benefit from tuning for best results in different conditions, and getting to know the effects of adjusting your Negotiator's Stinger drive and trim tabs, and using each of the two provided propellers, will help newcomers understand the dynamics of fast boating as you also enjoy the fun of experimentation. Remember though the well-proven adage of "to win, first you have to finish", and tuning your boat for reliability is just as critical as tuning for speed. With the Negotiator and the billet XP254M, you have all the ingredients necessary for ultimate success!
