The X-Hydro is one of the longest running and most popular designs in Arrow Shark's fleet of RTR gas boats. Every year we add improvements, and every year this boat wins more international acclaim. The dynamic 49inch (1,245mm) X-Hydro has a contemporary style that will never lose its appeal, while its performance can take on any competition and deliver unmatched excitement and success for its owner and driver. The brilliant paint and signwriting finish is factory-applied and for 2010 we have upgraded to the latest technology automotive paints, and we have reinforced the hull-deck join with a double layer of fibreglass. The most dramatic upgrade for 2010 though is the installation of our awesome new 6+hp billet-machined XP254M that revs to 19,000rpm or more! In a special section of this website you'll find all the details of this engineering masterpiece. To make the most of the potential of the XP254M, we have designed and produced a new Wrap-To-Flush exhaust header for a shorter tuned pipe length of around 370mm (from the exhaust flange to the middle of the tuned pipe); our previously-used Wrap-To-Centre header gave too long a tuned pipe length for the XP254M's level of power and revs. Also to cater for that greater power output, we have fitted the billet engine with a new and improved clutch featuring a CNC-machined no-spring plate for even better reliability. Yet another improvement is an additional opening in the aft deck behind the servo box that makes it much easier to access and service the hardware on the inside of the transom. We have improved the design of the servo box too, making it more water-tight than before. Other features aboard the X-Hydro encompass a higher capacity water pump that operates from crankcase pressure-pulses, a tuned pipe exhaust system with integral muffler for less noise but no power loss, a set of 2 and 3 blade props that are factory sharpened, balanced and polished to spin with less vibration, faster acceleration and more speed, a fully adjustable CNC turn fin with an hydrodynamically efficient curved blade, and a hi-torque 15kg metal gear rudder servo for precise handling at velocities to 80+kph! We've been using this summary statement of the X-Hydro for a while and we're staying with it because it neatly encapsulates the essence of the boat - purchase the X-Hydro only if you're ready for dynamite speeds and unlimited fun!
